  • 7/29 Why FM budgets stall with the C-Suite (and how to get to a yes)

    July 29, 2026

    About the event

Budget requests being met with, “Not this quarter?” You’re not alone. 40% of FM and workplace leaders faced outright budget cuts in 2025, even as organizations continue to pour 10–20% of their P&L into the physical workplace. The leaders who win budget are the ones who show up with a case built in the language the C-suite already trusts—connecting FM work to risk reduction, capital efficiency, and measurable business outcomes.

Join OfficeSpace CEO Erin Mulligan Helgren and special guest Linda Foggie (Scotiabank) for a practical, experience-driven conversation on what it takes to get a yes. Erin has seen this problem from both sides: as a leader who had to make the case, and as a CEO who has watched organizations leave millions on the table because the right case was never made. Linda brings a rare vantage point, having worked across every dimension of the built environment, from architecture and FM to global corporate real estate. Together, they’ll share what it actually takes to move the conversation forward.

  • 8/19 Putting AI to Work in Facilities: Practical Adoption for Banking and Credit Unions

    August 19, 2026

Every facilities team in banking is being asked the same question: where does AI actually belong, and where does a human still have to make the call? This session skips the hype and stays practical. We start with a simple way to see AI in three layers, from personal productivity to enterprise automation, then map where it fits among the systems a facility manager already runs. From there we look closely at two problems every financial institution knows well: controlling who gets onto your site, and managing what comes through your doors. We close with a maturity model you can use to place your own organization, and a short set of questions to bring back to leadership.

  • 8/26 AI Under the Hood: The Data & Technology Powering Intelligent Buildings

    August 26, 2026

AI-powered building applications are only as strong as the data foundation beneath them. To move from isolated insights to scalable intelligence, organizations need connected systems, harmonized data and a platform that can support automation, analytics and future AI applications.

David Duncan will bring the voice of the user and real-world use cases, while Sudhanshu Dixit will explain how the data platform helps make those use cases possible.

The discussion will explore how building data is connected, standardized and operationalized - and how that foundation supports AI applications, dashboards, integrations and more responsive building operations.

    What You’ll Learn:

    - Why the data platform is the foundation for AI-powered building applications

    - How connected and harmonized building data supports intelligent operations

    - How a data platform can enable dashboards, integrations and AI applications

    - What solution architects and facility stakeholders should understand when evaluating AI-driven building technology

NJ IFMA Women in Facility Management Had a Blast at the NJ Hall of Fame! On March 18, NJ IFMA Women in Facility Management had an unforgettable time at the New Jersey Hall of Fame, located in the iconic American Dream Mall. A weekday visit from 4 to 6 PM turned out to be the perfect time to explore this hidden gem, and the incredibly helpful staff ensured we made the most of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we immersed ourselves in the exhibits, celebrating the remarkable achievements of New Jersey’s finest. Cindi and Lisa even got the chance to sing along with Gloria Gaynor, while the whole group took a thrilling trip as we "flew to the moon" and interviewed some of our favorite NJ heroes. Before heading out, we captured fun memories at the interactive green screen selfie station, posing with our favorite inductees and taking home a souvenir photo. After our visit, we enjoyed a delicious bite to eat and strolled through the mall’s expansion, making the most of another fantastic opportunity for casual networking and getting to know each other better. It was truly a night to remember—great company, great fun, and an inspiring tribute to the legacy of New Jersey’s legends!

joanne gerow is reflecting on a decade of commitment
By NJ IFMA March 21, 2024
After ten years of supporting our chapter including five Executive Committees with multiple personalities, Joanne Gerow decided it was time to retire. Joanne was the friendly face at the registration table for all the meetings and events and was everyone’s go to whether it was a question on the chapter By-Laws, where to get catering for an upcoming meeting, or who took home the IFMA banner. We appreciated her input during Board Meetings. To say that we took her for granted is an understatement. We will miss you Joanne, and hope you will drop by a meeting or event as a valued guest. At the Winter Social this past December, we thanked Joanne for her years of service and several Past Presidents both in attendance and remote, expressed their appreciation to her. Joanne has been instrumental in the transition to our new administrative support, Hassan Consultants, an association management company providing efficient and cost effective management services to trade and professional associations and societies. We are excited to work with their team and take advantage of what they can share from their experiences working with other associations. We hope that all chapter members and guests will be able to meet them over the next few months as the NJ IFMA schedule of events is growing again post COVID.
